I have been working in the financial planning and community investment field for over a decade.
I grew up in Colorado, where I learned to love nature and an active lifestyle. I went to college in California for my undergraduate degree, and graduate school in Paris, France. I now call North Carolina home. In graduate school, I fell in love with studying money and economics. I wrote my thesis on microfinance and learned about the incredible impact money can have in our lives. I eventually found my way to personal finance and haven’t looked back since.
I am passionate about education and sit on the board of a liberal arts college in Indiana, Goshen College. I also serve on an investment committee that manages a pooled endowment fund that supports several educational institutions. I haven’t met a degree or certificate that I don’t love, and I really value learning in all formats.
I enjoy exploring the North Carolina beaches and mountains in my free time, eating a good meal, and investing time with friends and family.
